would this show an enlarged spleen? ct done 6 months ago reported it was fine.

Technically, No.: An MRCP is a heavily T2-weighted MRI signal of the abdomen. If the T2 weighting were (for some reason) NOT "very" heavy, AND if there were reconstructions of the image in the coronal or sagittal plane (these are very technical terms), then the spleen COULD be seen &amp; measured to determine if it's enlarged. Most of the time, however, these technical modifications aren't performed &amp; spleen isn't seen

my mother is experiencing feet numbness, leg numbness and foot tingling for over a year. severe fluid retention. mri shows lesions on spine. doctors are unsure what it is. enlarged spleen, and increased plasma in blood.

Neurological Sx: I'm so sorry your mom isn't feeling well. Tingling and numbness in her extremities prompted the spine MRI and should include an MRI of her brain as well. Laboratory workup for neuropathy should be included, as well as a full history and physical exam. With regard to the tingling/numbness she should follow up with a Neurologist at this point for that matter good luck.

Unlikely : As a MRI is like pointing a camera and focusing in on a certain region to take a "picture" and a spleen may not be within that focused area

Spleen Enlargement:: Spleen lies in left upper quadrant of abdomen, under the rib cage. Normally not palpable, when palpable means-, double sized. Sometimes palpable spleen seen without any cause, resolves. Common cause: hemolytic anemia, e.g. Sickle cell, thalassemia, heriditary spherocytosis, pyruvate kinase deficiency, etc. Mono infection in children and adolescent causes enlargement. Talk to his pediatrician.

Stop worrying: Spleen size is never a problem if you feel okay. Some folks have big ones. Some folks have tiny ones. Glad you are over the meningitis. Be glad for good health.

i have has an ultrasound that shows n enlarged spleen for over 2 months now.  i fell hard on concrete and landed on my left side/back.  i am now hving more pain and it is also going into my left shoulder? the tylenol isnt working anymore??????

Kehr&#x27;s sign: Left upper abdominal pain, which is increasing raises concern regarding spleen issues, which apparently you already have.  Referred pain to left shoulder has been described with splenic rupture.  Suggest contacting your physician ASAP to plan next steps, especially with pre-existing splenomegaly.  If continues to worsen head to hospital.

This is something: You and your doctor to take is seriously . I do not know what tests you have so far , but i will encourage to keep your doctor informed about your situation .  I believe your doctor would consider evaluating your kidney, pancreas and look for any problem in your left side of the colon and many others . In general , your condition is something that you need to work closely with your doctors. Good luck.

will a ct scan with contrast (barium, medium, etc) show lymphoma or is the only way to determine high likelihood for lymphoma is through biopsy of lymph node?  enlarged mesoteric lymph but no abnormalities shown, slightly enlarged spleen

Imaging: Such as CT will raise the suspicion and provide information about the overall spread of the disease. A biopsy will secure or confirm the diagnosis. Most cases need both.
