See your dentist: Who can evaluate your situation and tell you how best to handle it. Not sure if you “lost” the tooth and still have some remaining roots or you have a “loose” tooth that has shifted in place. In either case, the tooth with all roots need to be removed, and any bone loss, gum disease and infection treated and resolved.

Potentially: If the tooth came out while you were sleeping, you could aspirate it (inhale it) and choke on it.  It is best to see your dentist and get this tooth removed.

Need more Rx: Root canal treatment removes infected tooth material from the nerve chamber and root canals of the tooth.  The tooth will then need to be restored, probably with a crown.  See your dentist for advice.

Accepted Answer

No: It is normal to wear out some of the temporary filling.  However, it is not good to have the temporary filling completely out.   Once the inside of the tooth is exposed to contaminants like saliva, bacteria and food, root canal will become contaminated and eventually leak.  Go back to your dentist right the way to have it checked.

RCT or EXT?: Your own dentist should be able to determine and then advise you whether or not it would be better to save a tooth with root canal therapy or have it extracted. Have a serious one on one discussion with your own dentist to discuss treatment options and long term prognosis. If necessary, go for a second or even a third opinion until you full understand and agree with the decision.

No: Is this just a theoretical question? Loss of the input from the dorsal root ganglia wouldn't just eliminate pain sensation, it would eliminate all tactile sensation: Fine touch, vibration, kinesthetic sense, temperature, light touch, crude touch...not a situation that's compatible with any kind of functional life. Control of muscles requires sensory feedback.

4 areas of my head are very itchy and i lose hair there, when i take a hair out there's a white thing at the root of it, whatre all the possibilities?

Could: You could have alopecia areata, tinea capitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and psoriasis. Please see your dermatologist for evaluation and to discuss treatment options.

Hmmm: You may benefit from high doses of biotin.  This can delay and perhaps reverse hair wasting.

Losing a tooth: Is it bad to loose a tooth? What about a finger? Or a toe? If you had cancer in a finger or toe, take it off. If you had an ingrown toenail or arthritis, would you remove the toe or finger? If the tooth can be saved and it has a good long term prognosis, save it. You will save money and be healthier in the end. You can live with a missing toe or finger or tooth, but why if you don't have to?

hi, i have nerve damage to my left s1 nerve root . the question is i have lose if feeling in my middle toes right leg . can that be fixed?

It could be a result: Of your back issues. Get a nerve conduction study and consult neurologist.
