i recently tested positive for amphetamines and methamphetamines. i take prescription wellbutrin and vistaril. but i honestly do not and never have used meth. what could have caused me to test positive for both drugs?

: There can be false positive results which appear on toxicology screens secondary to prescription medications and laboratory errors.  Discuss results with your doctor, and if necessary and vital, repeat study while placing your regular medications on hold if this is safe for you.

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) shows up: as amphetamine in urine screens. It&#x27;s often written on a lab report  as &quot;amphetamines/methamphetamines&quot; with a positive result&#x27;s being above a certain cut-off number. You&#x27;re on the maximum adult daily dose of Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). Please seek referral to a psychiatrist who knows its  potential for  drug interactions with Celexa &amp; WB &amp; is familiar with interpreting drug screen reports.

: No, abusing "meth" does not cause positive pregnancy tests.  But this is indeed a deadly habit, and you are urged to address this ASAP, especially if you are about to have a baby.  Contact a drug rehab program now, get off meth and all recreational drugs and reclaim your life.  It is not too late.

Yes it could: Dmaa may cause heart attacks by elevating blood pressure in users.  Not only can it cause false positives on drug tests for amphetamines, it's been banned by the fda because of the above dangers. Accepted Answer

Not likely : Oral phenethylamine is virtually inactive -- gone within 5-10 minutes due to first-pass MAO inactivation.  Also, drug tests are extremely sophisticated, and any questionable results would be confirmed by additional testing.  I don't know of the other compound you mentioned, and it does not appear in any of my research either.

will acetaminophen show up positive for anything on a urine test. and if so what will it show up as? also can hydrocodone cause a false-positive for meth on a urine test? i've heard there's a lot of things that can do that.

Urine toxicology: Employers don't usually care if you take acetaminophen or paracetamol. Hydrocodone is an opioid, related to oxycodone, morphine, etc while meth is in amphetamine class, so they won't cross react. However, many common consumer items can cause false-positives so do be careful. i am wearing a sweat patch for drug screening & it came up positive for meth & i haven't used at all. i did 2 hair folicle test and the first can positive for meth. haven't used in over 3mo on hydroxizine can this cause false positive?

: Methamphetamine use of any kind or quantity will be picked up on drug tests for approximately 90 days. (plus or minus 10-15 days) Hair follicle tests can be positive for 6  months. Hydroxizine is not known to cause false positives for Meth. Ask for another test to be done or more specialized test such as gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) or high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)
