No: This medication is not absorbed at all and should not cause any significant side effects other than constipation (or elevated blood sugars with the suspension).

Several things: swelling in both feet and ankles can be caused by a heart condition, kidney problem, lymphatic problem or circulatory problems such as Venous insufficiency or phlebitis.  It will probably require some testing to figure it out.

Vein malfunction: Often this has to do with our veins not working as well as they once did to bring fluid back from our legs to our heart and lungs.  Keep salt &lt;2g/day, drink 64oz water/day, plenty of protein in your diet, exercise, try compression stockings and elevate when resting above your heart.  If that doesn’t help, or if you are noticing a decrease in urination, abdominal pain, diff. Breathing, be seen.

Yes but see your Dr: There are many reasons for ankles to swell in lupus but one very concerning reason is if you are losing protein in the urine due to kidney damage. You need to have this evaluated by your doctor.

Heat causes blood: Vessels to widen or dilate thus promoting blood flow and swelling to our extremities especially our feet and ankle. Some people are more prone than others. Other possibilities include arthritis, heart, liver and kidney problems. I'd suggest that u see your dr for a comprehensive check up to be sure your vital organs are in tip top shape. Take care!

Fluid retention: If both ankles swell, the problem is not your ankles but your body retaining fluid.  The 4 most common causes of fluid retention come from heart, lungs, liver or kidney.

The only relationship that may be associated with less sleep is less time witih your feet elevated, so gravity brings the fluid down to your ankles.  Try to keep them elevated during the day.
