i had a cbc test before one week. my hb is 17 and hct level is 51%. i want to lower this level. how can i do this?

Donate blood and: stop smoking. If your hemoglobin is recurrently elevated, you may want to undergo some simple testing  to address causes of primary or secondary polycythemias.

Yes: The only way Aspirin can reduce hemoglobin is by causing GI bleeding.

Possibly.: There are two medications in diovan/hct. Perhaps you do not need both or a lower dose. Consult your doctor as soon as possible.

fit 32y.o. man. rbc 4.53(4.2-5.8), hgb 13.8(12.6-17.7), hct 40.9(37.5-51.0).all in range but shouldn't they be higher in men? lower than all my prev results. am i borderline anemic? feel ok. posted this question before but doc needed specific values.

You're fine: Stop worrying, Brad. The Hgb range was given by your lab because you're a man. I'm a pathologist / lab specialist, having devoted a lifetime to this stuff, and the bottom line is this -- how do you FEEL? If you're able to keep up on tests of physical fitness with your peers, and play whatever sport you enjoy most, you need to stop fretting over normal labs. Be grateful for good health and keep it.

Normocytic anemia: What is your hemoglobin level?
 If your hemoglobin is low- and your MCV is within normal range- then you have a normocytic anemia- which can be releated to your other diseases- i.e. Anemia of chronic inflammation ( depending on what other medical problems you have- dm , hyperlipidemia etc, emphysema? )- acute bleeding can also give normocytic anemia.

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. it would have helped if you were to provide the actual numbers, rather saying "lower end of range".

hello doctor.i get constant mild dizziness 24/7,like room spinning,no other symptoms. saw three doctors,had a full blood count, kidney func test,liver test,all ok. only haemoglobin,hct abit lower than normal.could that be the cause,or any test to do?

: Sounds like inner ear issue to me unless BP low when you stand.  You can check that out and then maybe consult ENT.

Infection: While not 100% reliable/accurate, your WBC results suggest bacterial infection. It would be best if you allowed your family doctor to evaluate, especially considering your medical history.
