No to OTC Cough Meds: Otc cough medicine is no longer recommended for toddlers/children; it tends to do more harm than good.  It is best to pay a visit to your pediatrician/family physician in clinic.

2 year old has a really bad cough, wheezing, fever on n off, runny nose, n vomits sometimes.  inhaler helps breathing but cough very bad please help..

See doctor!: Your child must be seen right away by a doctor before the difficulty breathing gets worse. The cough and wheezing may be evidence of severe asthma, which can be life-threatening if untreated!

is it possible for you to give a 2 year old cetirizine hydrochloride syrup 1 ml for cough?

Check with doc: Cetirizine is good as an allergy medicine for control over a period of time. It's not meant as an acute treatment. If your child suddenly has cough, you should have him examined to make sure the issue is viral vs. Asthma or other etiology. A 2 year old can take cetirizine, but it's off-label, and should be guided by a physician.

can i give my 4 1/2 year old 2.5ml benadryl at night and then 2.5 zyrtec and 2.5 delysm in the morning for a cough and allergies?

Depends on : It is not quite clear whether child was diagnosed as having 'allergies' to account for cough and other symptoms. If so, he/she should be given only 2.5 mg of Zyrtec (long acting antihistamine) once a day.  Over-The-Counter med such as Delsym is not proven effective for 'cold' or 'allergies.'

our 27 mo old takes 2ml zyrtec at night. he has a very bad cough that has him choking. can he have bromfed tonight, 3 hrs after taking zyrtec?

Cough: The zyrtec will dry airway more leading to more coughing. Same for all antihistamines. Probably should go to ER and have child examined.

Neither: Better to see a doctor, meanwhile clear his nasal passages with saline, can be an upper respiratory tract infection, also keep him/her away from smokers or other sick kids/persons if you can, best of luck

Okay: Okay to use both of these over-the-counter medications, as long as you do not take more doses or use for more days than directed on the label.

Cough relief: Steam her in the washroom by turning on the hot shower for20-30 minutes. Afterwards let the vaporizer run where she sleeps. Elevate her mattress by means of a wedge. If her nose is running use saline nose drops. Finally rub vapo rub on her chest.

my 2 year old has lots of phlegm and a bad cough. took him to the paed last monday and he hasn't fully recovered. since he can't cough out phlegm, what do you recommend?

Phlegm with URI: Children this age do not expel their mucus out, it travels from lungs and into esophagus/GI tract to expel with stool. We usually allow them to cough as needed and can use saline to thin it out (there are kits for this OTC).
