Trileptal: Certain neurologists may go beyond the maximal therapeutic levels to achieve an effect.  That is quite common.
I have seen Trileptal ranges in the 2400-2800mg range.

Cold: It sounds like you have cold and not bronchitis yet. You can purchase an otc cough medication with anitussive and/or expectorant features depending the appearance of your cough. You can use otc tylenol for the rest of your symptoms for the time being without a need for a prescription.

hello i just had a video appointment with a doctor who said she would try to prescribe me codeine syrup for my cough, but instead she tried to get me hydrocodone syrup which is schedule 4 and not allowed. can i get prescribed codeine syrup?

Safe to take.: Hydrocodone is as good as codeine  or even better to help stop your coughing.  You can safely use it for a short period of time like about a week without any problem. It might cause some drowsiness.

: nebulizers for asthma went out with typewriters and dial phones. Metered dose inhalers with a holding chamber if needed are more medically appropriate for inhaled corticosteroids and bronchodilators, usual asthma medications.

URI: Difficult to know since your doctor was able to examine her and we cannot. She may have had strep throat, sinus infection, and so on. Or it is possible that the doctor was just playing it safe.
