last night, i took my dose of metoprolol (half a pill) and it got stuck up behind my nose. i tried to get it out, but im not sure if its still there. im scared. what should i do? should i be concerned?

: If it is stuck, it might eventually trap enough mucus to create a nest for germs to gather. Over time it might dissolve. A visit to your doc or an ENT with extra equipment could verify its position. I would use a thin tube to push it back where it would fall into the swallow tube.

Nosebleeds: can be dramatic even though they're common. The anterior bleeding usually comes from a small blood vessel at the front part of the nose. The trauma inside the nose (nose picking) or repeated irritation from a cold, can cause a nosebleed. It has nothing to do with taking birth control pills.

See Allergist: You need to be seen by an Allergist as you are likely suffering from chronic rhinitis and need further testing and evaluation. Skin or blood testing can be performed to see what you are allergic to and can assist in avoidance measures. Daily steroid sprays can be helpful for allergic rhinitis. Ipratropium bromide can be great for drying out nose for persistent dripping/running.

Allergy lasts: When teh drug effect wears off your allergy symptoms recur.  Either try longer-lasting meds or dose more often, within dosage guidelines.

why i keep having sticky yellow thing blowing out from my nose, especially in the morning when i wake up? i take allergy pill everyday. what's wrong?

Infection: The fact that the mucus is discolored means that while you may have allergies you are also suffering from an infection.  The color does not determine whether the infection is viral or bacterial.  The decision as to whether you may need an antibiotic depends on the timing and other history factors.  See your doctor if it continues for more than a week.

See details: Forget antihistamines. You have a viral not an allergy. Try a decongestant such as Sudafed.

i'm having trouble sleeping because i can breath through my nose yet, can i take one pill of zopiclone with this?

If you can't breathe: Through your nose properly please see a doc.  He/she can examine you and perhaps refer you for a procedure to open up the nasal passageways and/or a sleep study.  Peace and good health.

Sinus infection?: Good morning, 
you can get clogged up nose from congestion of the nasal passage which results in blockage of sinus openings. This can result from allergy as well as an inappropriate response to pressure and humidity changes. Blocked sinuses can result in infection leading to sinusitis of viral or bacterial origin. Bacterial sinusitis needs to be treated with antibiotics. Please see your doctor.

i've had a nose problem for 3 1/2weeks now. i thought it was allergy, no allergy pills helped! i think it may be a sinus infection. what should i do?!

Difficult to tell: In order to help you, you need to be more specific what exactly is your "nose" problem. Is it painful, draining, bleeding, congested, etc. A sinus infection is a  nasal and sinus bacterial infection with facial pain/pressure, low grade temperatures, thick discharge, thick post-nasal drip, and can include bad breath and a cough. In your case, you need to see a doctor to sort this out.
