i have this problem where i have ringing and thumping in my ears starting around 5 pm and gets worse all night. however, this only happens when i'm in my room, outside of the room, i'm fine. do you think tinnitus sound treatments will help?

Where does it go? 
What makes it better/worse? 
How long does it last?  
Medication helps/worsens?
 If you think it is something you eat/drink/do stop it &amp; see. If it gets better, go back again &amp; retest until you are convinced it is something you should stop. Discuss.

FromThJawbonesOfFish: I'll bet you are having a nervous twitch of the stapedius muscle that regulates tension on the ear drum.It's the smallest muscle in the body attached to the smallest bone.The ear bones ('ossicles') are, evolutionarily related to the jaw bones of fishes! So,like a nervous twitch of the lip or eyelid,etc.for some reason you get it  in the ear. The 'thump' is the sound of the ear drum quickly tensing

External otitis: External otitis. Swimmers ear. Use OTC drops.. No Q-tips. If pain persists, see ENT doc who may insert wick and prescribe stronger drops and oral antibiotics.

Vascular: If the throbbing synchronizes with your heartbeat, this is something vascular.  You need to consult your doctor re. this issue since this may signal the presence of an aneurysm.

Allergies: Sorry to hear that your having such a tough time!  It's possible that your allergies have caused your eustachian tube to become swollen (causing fluid build up and potentially and infection).  You may need to be seen by your doc or at an urgent care!

hi i have had tooth pain in my molar tooth and also my ears are throbbing my dentist said no cavities what could this be?

Tooth pain: Chronic tooth pain can be due to bruxism (chronic teeth grinding and/or clenching), infection of the tooth or gums, a fractured tooth (very common under large silver fillings).
Bruxism can cause TMJ dysfunction with pain referred to the ear.
A definitive diagnosis cannot be made without a clinical exam, x-rays, and additional information.
Check again with your dentist, and an ENT for ear pain.
