Back injury: A pop in the back as a result of an injury is not very specific in and of itself. It may be a sign of fracture but it may have been a sharp twist of a muscle or ligament. If your pain has been improving and you have no troubles walking, moving your bowels or emptying your bladder, numbness/tingling, i would watch and if completely cleared, no follow up is needed.

Hitting nose or face: If you hit your nose or face, this could cause it. Many times, we are so busy falling that we don’t recall what else could have impacted.  Also, if you are being abused, get help. If you fell while intoxicated, talk to your doctor.  An isolated impact to the back of your head would not cause bruising to your face

Probably not: Fusion would be indicated if there is instability . This would have to fit certain criteria. Not likely that you would have instability over 25 years. Also mild retolisthesis is usually an incidental finding not associated with symptoms.

i took a weird fall in may off a bench. the lower part of my leg, went a weird left, while my body fell backwards, so my knee took a weird twist. now, it hurts when i stable on it from sitting. help..

Knee sprain or damag: It sounds like it could be some sort of damage to your knees. It varies from minor sprained ligaments which will resolve with rest but if it persists, it can suggest more structural problem like damaged meniscus or torn ligaments which will need orthopedic surgery evaluation. Can first get an X-ray of your affected knee to start.

: Yes, imaging may miss minimal changes and immediate abnormalities may not be present. The best imaging test for brain abnormalities remains an MRI and the presence of new symptoms should prompt imaging follow up, your neurologist remains your best reference going forward.

: Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is commonly diagnosed at age 41, and characterized by loose "stretchy" skin, mobile joints, dislocation of hips.  There are 13 kinds of EDS, including mild varieties, which make late diagnosis common.  Ask your physician to order special testing to determine this diagnosis.
