hi there! quick question.. what would be the reason that my ldl is so high when all my other numbers look good? should l be concerned?

my ldl is high (131) and total cholesterol (235), however, all my other numbers are really good. hdl is 92, triglycer

Ask ordering doctor: Question chopped off. It is better to have a high HDL and a low LDL. HDL is the good, and LDL is the bad cholesterol. Doctors want a patient's total cholesterol divided by HDL to be less than 3.0. A person needs to ask his primary care doctor to interpret lab results because a doctor needs to know the whole story behind the patient. In this case, a high good HDL may compensate for mildly high LDL.

how are mthfr mutations and chiari malformation related? should i get tested if i have chiari? (and high b6 levels, for no good reason)

Forgive my frankness: One lab is promoting testing for mthfr mutations despite the fact that they merely identify folks who may be at slightly extra risk for this-and-that and who need to be extra-sure they get enough nutrients. A majority of people carry at least one 'mutant mghfr' and this is generating all kinds of scares. No relatioship to your chiari.

heart rate randomly high for no reason. been doing this for like 2 or 3 days now. my fitbit will show 106-135 while im sitting or just walking around. rest heart rates been 68-71. i have anxiety so its freaking me out should i go to the er?

: If you have no other medical conditions and are having no symptoms with these episodes, I would recommend you just make an appointment with your primary care doctor. If you are noticing any chest pain, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, or any other symptoms when these episodes occur, you should probably be checked out in the emergency room. Good luck.

Subjective,objective: This is an uncommon complaint in people suffering from anxiety. One of the physical symptoms of anxiety is "hot flashes" ...It happens in both makes and females, so the feeling is of  being hot but the actual body temperature is normal...Usually people have other concomitant physical symptoms of anxiety at the same time. Does this answer your question?

my weight keep increasing even though i exercise every other day. i wonder what can be the reason. i don't eat lot of unhealthy food or high quantities of food?

Keep a record: of ALL the calories you consume and the exact amount of exercise and type and take this to a nutritionist or a clinician.  You don't give your age or gender, but women over 50 must exercise at least 45 minutes a day to keep from gaining weight.  And it could also be another medical condition.

Not a reliable test: You will find easier to follow your hemoglobin(Hgb) level instead of RBC numbers. Hgb is a more reliable test than RBC numbers.

High temp: Not sure what you mean by "high" but if over 101 f  and it occurs again you need to be evaluated for a possible occult (hidden) infectious process.  It is preferable to have blood tests (including possible blood cultures) at the time your fever is spiking, so if it happens again, be seen immediately (same day).

Need treatment!: If iyou always have high blood pressure, you need to be treated. It will vary, and could be higher at times than others.  Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and over the counter meds that say not to take if you have high blood pressure  Decrease salt, lose weigh, stop smoking. Every day your blood pressure is not controlled you risk damage to your organs at some point.  Get seen this week.

my pressure is high during early morning 140/105 , during the other part of the day it's normal, what could be the reason please advise?

Maybe a dosing issue: If your on BP meds you need an evening dose to protect you over night and thru the "golden hrs" where a great deal of pts have heartattacks and srokes. Your morning meds drop the daytime BP but by end of day and into next am your BP rebounds. Twice daily BP rx will fix this.
