my baby is 1minth old and weight 3.4 she drinks 4 bottles during the day and 3 at night . she is very restless at night and can't seem to sleep peacefully. what is wrong please help?

Newborn: When you notice behavior in a child as young as one month of age, it is usually significant and important to have your pediatrician or a physicians see the child to determine if there are some underlying problems that are difficult to diagnose just by talking over the phone. There can be subtle infections that her present that would need immediate treatment.

i have a 16mon old baby at night she is very restless it's hard for her to sleep but @6am she falls in a deep sleep how can help her sleep at night?

Wake days/sleep nite: I would make a conscious effort to never let her sleep more than 2 hours at a time during the day, without at least a five minute period of alertness, before i let her sleep more. After a few days her body will shift her deep sleep to a night pattern.

Some do: It is not a reflection on you or anything in particular. If the kid is otherwise thriving/feeds okay/plays/etc. I would let it be.

Look at diet: Often night time restlessness can be do to digestive issues. Consider using a probiotic (ask ped for recc) , if new food might remove it and see if it helps.  Also any change or diruption in routine might account for it as well. Best Wishes

Basics: Avoid patterns that complicate this. A pre sleep ritual should avoid any feeds, drinks, etc. that she cannot self replicate in the night. No cuddles &amp; rocking to go down. If needed read to her from a distance &amp; tuck her in. All kids sleep in cycles. If they learn how to go down on their own (like they did in the womb) they can later.

Hard to say: Infants have relatively more head surface area than adults and will dissipate any heat excess through their head/scalp to maintain normal body temperature, This could be normal. If this is paired with poor feeding and activity it could be a sign of a heart condition. An exam would help sort this out.

Restless sleep: You have to first define what is restless sleep.  If you are awakening numerous times, vs moving while awake repeatedly for comfort, vs being awakened by 3 children numerous times or the neighbor's dog barking incessantly.  All of these can cause restless sleep.  However, so can intrinsic sleep issues like sleep apnea.  You need to see your physician or a sleep physician.

RESTLESS LEG??: I am not sure if you mean restless leg syndrome? Not sure what restless sleep is. So there are things for restless leg first make sure that the diagnosis is correct with a sleep study. Then medications like klonopin. Requip, (ropinirole) or mirapex.. Additionally exercise and reduction of caffeine late at night.
