How high is sugar?: Hi. Depending on how high your sugar is, metformin alone may be completely inadequate. Metformin per se doesn't cause tiredness, but really high sugars do. Many type 2's need insulin at least initially to get very high sugars down, and multiple agents (i.e., not just metformin mono therapy). The tiredness could be your depression too. Get your sugars normalized and see how you feel. Good luck!

i have been on buspar for almost three weeks now. i have been having a hard time falling asleep and am very tired throughout the day. do these side effects go away? i want to be able to fall asleep peacefully?

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. : In that case, you headache is either due to eye problem, e.g. a refractive issue, or your headache is transient and it's gone after a nap.

Tired: Set a schedule so that you get8-10 hours of dleep nightly. Try going to bed at the same time every night.Set aside a quiet hour before going to bed. Shut off all electronics including tv. Listen to soft music take a walk around the block read a benign and take a warm bath.

hi, i am having issues with fighting tiredness. i am a college student, usually i go for caffeine or i just sleep and nap alot. but due to headaches flaring up, i have cut back. what is a good way to stay alert while studying? not anemic

Get enough sleep: Get exercise. Sleep at least 6 hours, better 7 or 8, going to bed at same time and getting up at same time EVERY night. The most common reason for poor student performance, and a common trigger for migraine, is sleeping at different times on different days. Sleep deprivation will make you sleepy and much less efficient at mental tasks. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a sleeping pill which should not be used often.

Tiredness : No it is not normal. You should be evaluated further by a sleep specialist, including polysomnography to check for things such as sleep apnea, barcolpeay, periodic limb movements during sleep, parasomnias, etc.

Are you having: Problem falling asleep? That is one side effect of  any stimulants. Anyone can be fatigued and tired from lack of sleep! talk to your prescribing physician.

Thyroid gland: Check your thyroid gland blood test tsh, T3 (liothyronine) and t4
this could be singe of hypothroidizm.

Tired????: Fatigue is a symptom for broad range of things--- non serious issue like-- over work, sleep deprivation. Lack of exercise etc 
to infections eg flu, mononucleosis or more serious stuff like auto immune diseases, hormone disturbances ( thyroid), go see a doctor who can give you right answer and then treat yourself accordingly.
