i have white spots on my arms and knees that come and go, for about a year now, it looks like blood is not circulating well. if i press on it they disappear and reapper straight away. is it something i should worry about?

Hard to say: It is hard to say without seeing an image of the lesions you are describing. Maybe you can post them somehow or perhaps give a more detailed description of the lesions?

i have copd and am prone to bronchitis. for most symptoms. for the rash on scalp, lower back, knees, yellow spots on toenails.... could this be psoriasis? i have a family history of it and don't know the best course of action. my scalp is the worst.

i have white spots on my leg, arm, and hand. is it possible to be sun damage? should i be worried about ir?

Tinea versicolor: It's possibly tinea versicolor. It's caused by a fungus, which blocks the sunlight from activating the melanocytes (pigment cells) in your skin. With sun exposure, the skin around it tans but the fungal area stays white. a 1x4 inch red spot appeared on my knee overnight; the next day same color appeared on 2/3 of the back of my right hand. they quickly turned dark brown and have stayed that way for a week. i have appt with derm in 2 wks. no other symptoms. any ideas?

Dermatologist: It's a good idea to consult a dermatologist in case more lesions appear in the future, but I wonder if these spots could have been caused by a bite from some sort of insect even though there was no itching.If no other skin spots appear a systemic cause is unlikely.

recently i've had off and on pain in knees mostly when moving around,redness, soreness, hurts when bending making it hard to move,hip pain, feels like i can't carry myself around stiffness these symptoms in both knees same spot i don't overuse them?

: Sorry to hear that.  You MAY have a form of arthritis.  Please see your doc.  Physical Therapy, anti-inflammatory died, meds, etc.  Lots of ways to help. Peace and good health.

Many things: If antihistamine does not work and the problem has lasted for more than 8 weeks or is getting worse, consult your doctor.

?spinal cord: Multiple sclerosis can involve both brain and spinal cord, and you could have involvement of the latter, even with normal spinal fluid at this point.  Other considerations should be included, as you need to get this pinned down. Suggest, an EMG to evaluate peripheral nerves, series of blood studies to assess other diagnoses, and a cervical MRI to more fully evaluate ms.

Bites or mites: Itching behind the knee after holiday can be due to bites from something like sand fleas (would explain the location) or other bug bites.  Less likely is something like scabies.  If it does not resolve in a few days get it checked by your doctor.

Joint pains: I assume your symptoms aren't from overuse or sprains. If you have chronic discomfort involving multiple joints you may have an autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. That much wear and tear osteoarthritis would be unusual in your age group. A rheumatologist would be best to consult for diagnosis and treatment. Appropriate testing will be done.

Sometimes: Raynaud's phenomenon is a symptom caused by constriction of small blood vessels, usually in the fingers and toes, leading to a lack of nutrients and oxygen going to the fingers and toes. Raynaud's phenomenon with purple rash spots (purpura) in the legs is likely due to an autoimmune disorder such as sjogren's syndrome. A primary care doctor or rheumatologist can evaluate and treat.
