Depends: If this just arose, it may be a viral ulceration or exudate associated with a bacterial or viral infection.  If it has been there awhile and/or enlarging, there are many types of chronic mucosal conditions which should be evaluated.

i had a endoscope on tuesday and my uvula has been swollen and has a white spot on it is this normal?

Endoscopic exam: Was the procedure done while you were awake or in the or? Any operative or office based endoscopy has the potential to irritate the uvula and cause it to swell. The white spot is usually an abrasion. I see no cause for major concern, should get better. However, if the uvula continues to swell , should see an ENT for evaluation.

Uvula edema: Hello, the swelling of the uvula will take some time for resolution. The uvula lies in a dependent position. The timing will also depend on the degree of swelling. In my practice, i prescribe steroids. If you are having trouble swallowing or breathing, you'll obviously need to be seen in an er.  Good luck and i hope this helps.

White spots inthroat: It might be strep throat.  Go see your primary doctor!

Aphthous ulcers?: Would have to see what it looks like but it could be aphthous ulcers which presently are believed to ba an allergic reaction to something you ate.   Ulcers/blisters can also be caused by a herpes virus.   Get the lesions examined, and while waiting use a ethanol based mouithwash to gargle and keep the throat clean and the bacteria counts down.  Even more important, keep your teeth clean.

Few possibilities: without an exam, I can only give general information. and a localized area of pain and inflammation generally means an infection. Localized small abcess, usually bacteria that penicillan family treats quite well.

Watch for any change: Ulcers in the mouth are quite common. Most of them are painful and are related to virus infections(often called canker sores). They heal themselves in 7-10 days. So keep an  eye on it to see the changes over the next 2-4 weeks. If it grows in size or does not heal, it needs to be biopsied by a oral surgeon(ENT or Dental surgeon) to be examined micrcroscopically to rule out early cancer.

Not sure : May be some sort of cyst, or stone in a salivary duct depending on. The location. You should absolutely have it checked by an ENT doctor. Hope this helps!
