Uvula edema: Hello, the swelling of the uvula will take some time for resolution. The uvula lies in a dependent position. The timing will also depend on the degree of swelling. In my practice, i prescribe steroids. If you are having trouble swallowing or breathing, you'll obviously need to be seen in an er. Good luck and i hope this helps.
