contact dermatitis on legs is it ok to go tanning?

Wear sunscreen/wait: Yes but wear sunscreen. Contact dermatitis is caused by physcial contact with the item that you are allergic to. Going into the sun can make the rash more apparent, but i recommend that you wait until the rash has gone away then wear plenty of sunscreen and then go out into the sun.

my right leg is slightly darker than my left leg when i'm sitting. i don't go tanning. should i be concerned?

The: Whole leg coloring discrepancy would be rare unless your work require you to drive around on passenger  seat and you where wearing shorts. Should see a dermatologist for a closer look.

i have little red dots on my upper and lower legs. they dont itch. not sure if it could be that i was tanning on monday something i never do. only became aware of it yesterday. ?

Red Dots on Legs: Not knowing what meds you are on, age, skin tone (Fitz scale), what you put on your skin (sunscreens), or pictures, this makes it difficult to inform you, other than consulting a dermatologist, your PCP- Petechiae are little red papule/dots, but you did not indicate details. I don't want to overly concern you, as this may be a reaction to UV rays, but without pictures . . . Please consult your doc

You : You need to see your physician or a plastic surgeon and get a two prescription medications that will help the conditions; retin - a and hydroquinone.

i've recently started tanning in a bed. the past couple times i get really a really tingly/itchy feeling only locating on my stomach and upper legs. what could this be from?  i am not allergic to anything, and i don't get these reactions every time i tan

Stop tanning: Tanning bed is bad for your skin and will likely wrinkle you at a much earlier age.  Your itching is likely from the drying effect or from the healing process from the mild burn at areas not usually exposed to the sun.  I don't want to offer you any help in reducing this problem since I think you will regret the time you spend on the tanning bed when you may be looking 20 years older in 10 years.

See below: The question is what is the problem? Is the issue how the veins look? Or are they abnormal veins or just normal veins that you see because of your skin tone? Tanning 'covers' things up by darkening the color of your skin-but at the expense of increased risk of skin cancer (often high anyway with fair skin) and faster 'aging' of skin. So it's potentially a short term fix with long term consequence.

Irritation: The heat is affecting your hair follicles and causing the red bump.

Probably not: Unless the bumps itch, Hydrocortisone would not likely be helpful.  If it is from an infection, Hydrocortisone may improve the appearance by suppressing the inflammation but potentially making the infection worse.

See doc: need to see your dermatologist for eval and possible tx...this could be an insect bite that might have become infected. The fact that it is spreading and painful should alert you to be seen by your doc.

Don't go tanning: Tanning beds can significantly increase your risk of skin cancer. They do cause the skin to age much faster. You can catch all sorts of infections from the beds because there is no good way of cleaning them from one client to another. Oh, and they are addictive, like drugs. There are safer ways to add color to your skin like spray tanning.  Please don't use them.
