A thrill: This  vibration is called a "thrill" and usually indicates a connection, or fistula, between an artery and a vein.  There are many arteries and veins in the region you describe. See your doctor- this is not a normal finding and should be diagnosed.

son, 35, has tender spot right above collarbone on left side of neck, hurts when he moves or stretches in certain ways, no lump & no other symptoms,no fevers or lumps anywhere else, i am a wreck its lymphoma, would there be a lump or other symptoms?

Needs to be checked: These bumps as these are growing bigger need to be checked by your doctor.These may be lymph glands and can be caused by infection or another disease in the lymph nodes.Sometimes we leave them alone and watch and other times we remove and examine(biopsy) to find what it may be.There are other possibilities like cysts or othet kind of tumors.I suggest you get it checked by your doctor

i have had a pea sized lump above my collarbone close to my neck on the left side.  it is hard and moveable, but hasn't grown.  should i be concerned?

See a surgeon: While most small lumps under the skin are not worrisome, you should see a surgeon for consultation.  In that area you describe sometimes lymph nodes can swell and indicate other disease.  Most lesions can be removed in the office under local anesthesia.

i have a moving lump on left side of my neck just above my collarbone & it's some what painful. is it cancer? i'm worried sick

Supraclavicular lump: What you describe might be one of several things, including a lipoma, cyst or a lymph node.  Cancer is possible, specifically Hodgkin&#x27;s lymphoma given your age, although enlarged lymph nodes in Hodgkins are more often painless.  Other cancers would be less likely.  Make an appointment to see your doctor so that it can be evaluated.  Overall odds are that it is not going to be something serious.

hard, immobile lump on the back of my neck about 1 inch below my hairline. i also have them above my collarbone. doctor isn't sure what it is?

Hard lump: Brooklynn,

Not knowing your history, there is a concern that these could be swollen lymph nodes versus soft tissue mass.  I typically recommend patients to undergo an ultrasound and will ask for aspiration or FNA at that time to help further diagnose unless it is clearly a lipoma or sebaceous cyst.  Ask for a referral to a general surgeon if your MD is not comfortable.

for months, ive had a worsening feeling of a lump or construction in my rt neck above collarbone; worst when lying down. recent thyroid us was clear. im concerned about possible lymphoma or other conditions involving the supraclavicular node.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity at tolerated.

i have pain in my neck, shoulders and above my shoulder blades. numbness down my arms at times. weakness in my arms at times. pain comes and goes. worse mornings and night. makes me want to pinch my back above my collarbone. what could it be?

Tension?: You live in Retreat and you are tense, that is meant to make you laugh. It is most likely musculoskeletal pain because of muscle tension. You may have been lifting or just tense and your muscles are sore. The best thing is to have a massage preferably with liniment to loosen the muscle spasm. You are not meant to carry the weight of the World.
