The smaller the incision, the easier the recovery and (usually) the lower the risk. Minimally invasive (laparoscopic)surgery has revolutionized general surgery.

In any type of major surgery, women's natural hormonal cycles are altered in response to the tons of growth and healing hormones our body makes.
