Is the removal of gallbladder through laparoscopy a safe surgery? i'm having mine taken out and i am scared!

Yes: While all surgery has risks, having your gallbladder removed is the most common general surgery performed in the United States. Most patients will tell us that having their gallbladder out is easier than going through attacks. While there are risks with all surgery, and you should understand them and go through them with your surgeon- know that it is normal to be scared.
