Hot water: Run the denture under hot water and use a tooth brush to clean the adhesive off.

Any : You should try and use name brand adhesive using no more than 3 pea sized daps. Avoid those containing zinc. Patient swear by either paste or powder try either and see what works for u.  Remember though, your denture should be evaluated on a yearly basis. It should on average be relined every 3-5 years and a new set made every 5-7 years. Even if it it's "functioning ok", for several reasons.

i just got lower immediate dentures yesterday.  5 extractions.  no stitches as lowers do tend to move a lot, not able to chew.  can i  use adhesive?

Adhesive: No you should not use adhesive. You must tell your dentist what the problem is and I am almost certain she/he will help you some more.

Can be helpful: Having an immediate or transitional denture inserted immediately following extractions can sometimes be difficult for the patient, especially when there are a lot of teeth to be removed and if the surgeon has to reshape a lot of bone to accommodate the denture(s).  

Some patients do have to use a denture adhesive for a period of time until adjustments to the immediate denture are made.

how long does it take gums to heal before i can wear dentures? i had a full mouth extraction done last week, and would like to know how long before my gums heal enough that i can get dentures and use adhesive?

Several : Several different aspects to this question.

Sometimes dentures are made prior to the extractions so you can leave the office wearing them.  This is called an immediate denture procedure.  The advantage is that you have teeth right away, the disadvantage is you may require more postoperative adjustments to the dentures to make them fit properly.

The second technique involves extracting the teeth and letting the gums heal for about 4 weeks before beginning the process to make the dentures.  This takes longer and you have to go without teeth for awhile but it gives a better fit.

Well made dentures should not require the use of adhesives.  As the jaw bone slowly reabsorbs over time you may find the need for a small amount of adhesive.  If you require a lot of adhesive the denture fit is poor and they should be remade.

what are good foods to eat after having a wisdom tooth extraction so particles won't get in the socket? besides yogurt, ice cream, soup mashed potatos

Ensure, etc: Smoothies , shakes, nutrition drinks (Ensure,etc) are good too...just don't use a straw for the first few days as it may cause the blood clot to come out and can result in a dry socket. And drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.

i just got 5 teeth extractions and was still kind of bleeding when the nurse put my temp.dentures in with adhesive. i am worried that when i take them out after 24 hours, i pull the clot out and get dry socket?

: The bleeding is a good sign of no coming down with a dry socket. The dentures act as compression bandage over the bleeding sockets and promote healing. The clot will be well formed after 24 hours, so just follow post extraction instructions.

is it safe to drink cold drinks (juice, water) and eat ice cream, cold yogurt, cold flan (a type of soft cool cake) a few hours after a single tooth extraction? are cake, bread, and rice appropriate food to eat a few hours after the extraction?

Post op: What you listed is fine to eat but best to try to eat on the other side of your mouth for a few days.

Any product with a: Name like 'shark super power king size super form cream' has to be suspect to begin with. I would not believe claims that this german product will  enlarge your penis, improvement your relationships and increase libido.
