do i need to use an enema to  before i go to the doctor for an anoscopy or proctoscopy?  won't that help the doctor see better?

Probably not: They aren't really looking up very far. As long you don't feel that you have any stool right in the rectum, you don't need to do an enema.

Blood in stools: It would be important to do a colonoscopy because blood on the stools could be due to colon polyps which are precancerous or internal hemorrhoid and it could also be due to colon cancer.

See another: First, use OTC medication as if you have a hemorrhoid. What you have is most likely a fissure, which is a tear. You need to be examined by a colorectal surgeon to determine the extent of the damages and how deep the tear is. So go and see different doctor. Meanwhile sit in a warm water in bath tub. That will relieve the pain. And make sure to keep you stool soft.

is 250mg of paromomycin (x3) for 10 days enough to kill amebiosis?  would my doctor know from the anascopy/stool/blood test if it is invasive?

Depends: After use of Metronidazole ,  yes 10 days of paromycin  is recommended for amebiosis . Disease is invasive to local tissue ( colon )  , absence in of repeat examination is needed.

I : I would ice the finger and take Motrin or advil (ibuprofen) to help prevent swelling. Also refrain from using the finger (e.G typing / texting). If the pain does not subside in a day then have the finger examined, and if necessary x-ray'd.  Even though it may not be broken, you could have sustained ligament damage.  If you find that you have lost the range of motion in the finger you should seek help.

No: endoscopy is a general term that means putting a camera in the body, colonoscopy is endoscopy of the colon and is the gold standard for screening for colon cancer. Anoscopy is an in office procedure to look at the rectum only, usually used to evaluate hemorrhoids, anal fissures and anal/rectal masses and pain. During a colonoscopy a good GI doc will evaluate the anus and rectum as well.
