A member asked:

Do i need to use an enema to before i go to the doctor for an anoscopy or proctoscopy? won't that help the doctor see better?

Probably not: They aren't really looking up very far. As long you don't feel that you have any stool right in the rectum, you don't need to do an enema.

Best to call their: Office and ask the nurse if the doctor prefers you have an enema. If you get there without an enema and the doctor can not see anything, you have just wasted your time and his/hers and will need to reschedule your appointment for another time after taking an enema.
