Accepted Answer

Yes: Normally gastritis is one of the conditions that is best diagnosed by endoscopy. Usually your doctor would tell you right after the endoscopy as well if he/she saw any gastritis and the biopsy would show inflammation. You should ask specifically but most likely you don't have gastritis.

Virus/ fatty liver: Mild elevation like this is either due to a viral infection you are currently having (  as simple as cold symptoms) or fat depositions on the liver if you are overweight.

: Appears that your MRI study failed to confirm any pathology,  and this should be reassuring.  But it appears that additional concerns are present.  The best approach is to contact the radiologist and go over the films together.

: Without medical history information or any idea what your symptoms are, it is very difficult to give a meaningful answer to this question. Your best course of action is to consult with the Dr who ordered this test, so they can put it in context with your history and symptoms.

High IgG: I assume your doctor then requested a subclass analysis of igg. It is important to recognize that a monoclonal elevation may indicate a serious condition. Ask your doctor. If it is polyclonal meaning that there is a general increase in igg, it may be found with inflammatory or infectious states. Sometimes a hematologist, immunologist or oncologist is needed to track this down.

what does it mean if you have the symptoms of hypoglycemia, yet your blood sugar is within normal limits?

The symptoms: Of "hypoglycemia" are not due to low sugar, but a drop in sugar from a higher level back to normal. This is what the body is supposed to do. This occurs in people who are overweight and Insulin resistant. Start eating less, and exercising more to lose weight and lower your chances of developing diabetes in the near future.

May just be style: It is possible that reporting "No gross abnormalities" raises the question of suboptimal imaging, perhaps due to motion or artifact forcing the reader to equivocate. Perhaps more likely is that the phrase may just be a matter of reporting style and could be equivalent to "Within normal limits".  The distinction is hopefully not clinically significant. If still concerned, could ask radiologist.

Worth following: The upper limit of normal is still normal, however it is worth following up to make sure in  a few weeks the fluid volume has not increased.  In at least 1/3 of cases we cannot figure out what causes the fluid volume to be high.  It can also be caused by gestational diabetes. Rarely a fetal abnormality that reduces the fetal ability to swallow can cause increased amniotic fluid.

confused please help: is 2.59 (upper limit of 2.55 mmol) a normal ser. calcium for a 20 year old? i understand its a higher calcium level but what does this mean? normal by age or?

last year 2.72 (upper limit 2.55 mmol) with album. 49.9 limit of 49?

Not abnormal: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your calcium level is within the normal range. as is albumin.
