Glands grow: If not all of the thyroid was removed, the remnant will likely grow back, especially if the TSH was slightly high or normal (tsh is a stimulus to growth).  Surgery usually does not remove every last cell of the thyroid, even if it is called a "total thyroidectomy".  See your endocrinologist.

Yes: After partial removal, the remaining thyroid will grow. If this thyroid remnant is healthy, it can easily make enough thyroid hormone to keep your blood levels normal, but on exam it may be enlarged.  If the original surgery was for a "nodule", then this enlarging thyroid remnant can create concern/confusion: is it normal physiologic expansion, or another nodule? Check with your endocrinologist.

6-12 months: It can take 6-12 months for the skin to totally recover from changes caused by accutane.

No: As a 19 year old male, your growth is likely done and your bones growth plates closed. At this age taking growth hormone will bulk muscle and could make bones thicker, but are not going to make them longer, and thus, no increase in height. I urge you to think twice about putting pituitary supplements you describe into your body without someone who knows all their affects guiding you- can be danger.

i know its a long shot, but how do we know when its a reactive gland or something mor sinister? have 2lumps under my left arm, and a 3rd 1 starting closer to my brest,they start out as peas,and then grow to small berry size. ,they are not painfull

We do not: The short answer is that we do not know until we further investigate. While there is a good chance that the process is benign, a more ominous cause cannot be ruled out. Starting workup with a physician you trust, ideally your GP would be highly recommended.

Remnant: It is likely from the remnant of the thyroid tissue left behind. Sometimes it grows to meet the demand.   On the other hand, it may also be just scarred tissue.

Concerning: This is concerning and should be evaluated by a thyroidologist or thyroid surgeon. Further evaluation may include an MRI or CT scan and/or a biopsy.

Residual Thyroid?: If you had a nuclear thyroid scan and uptake in the thyroid bed was detected then the implication would be recurrent neoplasm if the original diagnosis was thyroid cancer. Rarely, there can be small residual deposits of thyroid tissue from embryological development that can enlarge after thyroidectomy and produce nodules. Good luck.

Dont try: You don't really want to increase growth hormone. Serious consequences can arise.  Previous studies were stopped due to serious side effects of increasing growth hormone levels.
