persistent urge to urinate. no other issues. done usg (whole abdomain), kub, urine test and urine c/s. reports are normal but usg shows suggestive of cystitis (lower level echoes seen in bladder lumen). but no uti found. what should i do?

: Ultra sound is not the way to diagnose UTI. or cystitis. Avoid spicy food and excess of caffeine. Drink water and try to divert your attention when you get the urge. If this does not help see a Urologist for you may need medication.

my ultrasound report says "gall bladder is distended show smooth walls, lumen is echo free, common bile duct is not dilated" what does this all mean? should i be worried?

Gallbladder U/S: This sounds like a normal report. Echo free means no stones or polyps were seen. No bile duct dilation is normal. Gallbladder distention can be normal (it fills with bile then contracts to release the bile with meals).  Of course, the report should be interpreted by the ordering physician, taking into account your symptoms that led to it being ordered in the first place.

Liters: A normal bladder would be massively distended with 1000 ml urine. I have seen abnormally distended  bladders such as chronically distened from obstruction, with hypotonic neurogenic bladder, after intestinal bladder augmentation or prune belly syndrome hold in xs of 2000 ml.

does urine test can bee seen if you have bladder cancer?

Sometimes: Yes - if urine "cytology" is specifically ordered (sometimes with "fish").  Urine cytology is not the most sensitive test for bladder cancer, but is probably the least invasive - all the patient has to do is pee in a cup.  

Cancer would not usually be picked up on routine urinalysis or culture - which is much more commonly ordered to rule out infection, etc.

did a urine ultrasound the results were, significant post void residual volume of 278.1. 35 yrs, no other symptoms but tons of anxiety and hypochondria.. nervous it could be sinister.. thanks? was also told the bladder was distended out of 800ml?

: That is a significant residual postvoiding residual and a huge amount of urinary retention at your age and raises suspicion of bladder outlet obstruction or a neurogenic bladder problem. Your urologist will have to advise you about causes, treatment and, if advisable, referral to a neurologist.

Sounds like: Lousy diet.  An excess of calories, particularly those of simple carbohydrate, upset the balance of the lower brain that is responsible for controlling the actions of your body organs.

Unclear but: Things to consider include colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable colon, appendicitis, gall bladder, or kidney stones. You did not indicate what was the MRI for. If abdominal imaging was done and was unremarkable, you may need to see a gastroenterologist who may do a colonoscopy.
