For women in the US, a recent recommendation is to also have a Tdap (Tetanus plus Pertussis) vaccination during each pregnancy. So, if there has been no Tetanus vaccination in the past 10 years, the current recommendation in such a case would be to get a Tdap shot.

For the time being ice pack 20 min on and 20  min off will help ease the pain from inflammation.  You can take 800 mg ibuprophen and add 2 tylenol (acetaminophen) for additional pain relief.

Depends: Although you are covered for the tetanus issue, the wound itself may become infected by other germs.If you have cleaned it well and there is no redness or swelling you can monitor it until it heals. If there is redness or swelling at the site i would have it looked at.

Extraction: After a tooth is extracted your body sends many different types of cells to the area to begin the healing process. It is important not to disturb the area while it is healing. hello, i had tooth #26 extracted and bone grafted due to resporbtion, it is now cold sensitive 3 days later. is that normal and what can i do? thanks

Perfectly normal: because there's been a bone lost on the side of the tooth #25 and # 27 where the extraction was performed. This has caused the root of the sensitive tooth to be exposed to the oral environment and that's caused the sensitivity to cold or hot. Be patient, nothing need to be done.
