Reasonable thought: Tetanus spores can be planted in such a bite & you are at the far end of the range of protection by the 2012 booster. It would reduce tetanus risk & carry your protection forward for another decade.Be sure to clean the wound well & monitor it closely.Any infection entering the deep spaces of your hand can move quietly & quickly become a major problem.
