diaphragm spasm: Side 'stitch' is a common slang term for diaphgram spasm which occurs while running or during vigorous activitiy.  The diaphragm expands and contracts during normal breathing.  When you exercise, the movement is exagerated and a spasm may occur which feels like something poking you in your side.

Visualize how you: Will feel & look when your’e at your healthiest.  Also, think about what the issue was that motivated you to to lose weight in the first place. Insure that calories burned exceed calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 ounce glasses of water/day.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per/day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbs. Exercize.

Breathing: Try breathing in slowly through the nostrils. Taking a deep breath and holding the air in your lungs for a five count. Then slowly exhale through an open mouth. Repeat x 12 or more.   Good luck.

Aim for 5-7 fresh fruits and veggies a day. To stick to your diet, find out what is the motivating factor for you. Its different for everyone. For some its looks, others its health. Dont forget to have protein.

When you feel like eating tons of crap food, visualize the good outcome with healthy eating.  If you screw up, don't beat yourself up - just go back to healthy eating again.

Small changes: Strict diets create a sense of deprivattion making them hard to stick to. Making small changes in your diet and adding activity to your daily routine is easier to stick with as well as healthier.  An example could be switching fo skim milk and walking for 15 min. initially, then adding another small change, etc.  This is more likely to build good habits at a rate that you and your body can tolerat
