Unlikely: Plavix (clopidogrel) does not cause such acidity symptoms but acid refux can be the reason for your symptoms.

i've been tacking ibuprofen on/off month due to back and leg injury.  now have persistent heartburn even when i don't take.  any advice?

Yes: Stop taking ibuprofen.  You likely are having irritation due to ibuprofen.  You can either stop it or try taking it with food/ or add an acid blocking agent such as Pepcid (famotidine) which you can now get without a prescription.

Lumbar. Pain: Taking any over the counter  meds  like ibuprofen,aleve, aspirin, may cause heartburn , so.. U make sure u take the dose on a  full stomach, alternatively use over the counter meds such as Zantac, (ranitidine) cimetidine, orprevacid. Get up with a physiotherapist to be  shown proper stretching as well as isometric strenthening or core muscles.

Gastroenterologist: He may be dealing with an irritable bowel syndrome as well as gerd. Have him consult a gastroenterologist for evaluation, diagnosis and proper treatment including dietary advice as well as avoiding alcohol, caffeine,nicotine and harsh roughage. In the meantime start him on prilosec or 
zantac daily until he is examined.

GERD: Can be life threatening.  May need more than OTC Meds.  Make appointment with your GP or, preferably, a Gastroenterologist ASAP.

It could be: It could be acid reflux induced. You should be tested with a PPI   twice daily and also see GI  or ENT   Physician for further evaluation.

i am struggling with persistent nausea and reflux which has been causing me vomit at times. even water makes me nauseous. im not pregnant and i had negative gastric emptying study. my ultrasound of my stomach was good. i do have gerd and ibs-c?

: Obtain a second opinion with a GI physician, as endoscopy may provide more information than an ultrasound, and other medications are available to lessen the excess acid secretion in the stomach, which may be causing the symptoms.

i have been diagnosed gerd & i get heartburns almost once a week. i usually take a pantoprezole tablet then - is it safe to take it so often?

Talk to doc but: First you need to take the Pantoprazole 30-60 mins before your first meal of the day.   There is also concern that chronic use of this type of drug increases the risk in getting pneumonia and possibly traveler's diarrhea. 
If taken only when heartburn starts, then a Histamine 2 reverse agonist (Pepcid, Zantac) may be more appropriate.

See below: There are a number of medications used to treat acid reflux. Non-medical therapies or preventitive therapies include weight loss, avoiding late meals, avoiding trigger foods, avoiding caffeine, nicotine and alcohol.

Constant: Heart burn could be a signal of something wrong. From hiatal hernia, to bacterial infection, should be evaluated by gastroenterologist. Some of the over the counter blockers may help, but need to be evaluated.
