The fat layer in the body converts estrogen to other hormones, so conceivably, weight loss could change the ratio of hormones you're used to, and therefore affect your periods. Maybe just the exercise is putting your body into a new balance.

: Avoid protein supplements and all other supplements. Best weight loss success I have had is with the DASH diet. Get the app Cronometer and track calories in and out and get fewer calories in than you burn and weight will melt to where you want it.

Not really: The prescription pills like Phentermine can decrease appetite but no study has ever demonstrated that the effect is long-standing.  Orlistat is somewhat effect but the side effects are unsettling and long-term weight control not significant.  Changing the way you view your health and making changes in your lifestyle are the only things that will work in the long-term.
