Use ice, compression (ace bandage), elevate to reduce swelling, NSAID (if you can take them) for pain & inflammation, & make appointment with fp/sports medicine doc/orthopedic specialist or even er if knee very unstable.

Meniscus: You may have an acute meniscus tear. This is the cartilage between the two leg bones at the knee.
You could also have a collateral ligament sprain. These are the two diagnoses that come to mind.
When you are able to see a Doctor - get the correct diagnosis so you won't have the pain and discomfort. In the meantime visit the pharmacy for a knee brace, Take Tylenol or other OTC  pain reliever.

i scraped my knee a year ago and my knee hurt any time it came into contact with anything for two months after that. for a good 6 months i didn't feel any pain, but three months ago my knee started hurting whenever i put even a little pressure on it.
