Shame: I hope you have someone to talk to  a minister a therapist , a doctor you're close to. I see  shame as a feeling of disconnectedness. It comes from loss and conversely it comes from not achieving  connectedness. It's a process of accepting what happened and your present state. Please try and speak with someone.

Please go to ER: Your mind may tell you things that are not correct, especially when it is sick. Among these irrational messages may be that suicide is a healthy solution for life problems, or that one shouldn't tell anyone when in need of help with such thoughts.  At 49, you're in charge of whether you reach out for help or not -- and you've said something here.  It's saturday. Please be evaluated in an er, asap!

Sometimes inpatient psychiatric treatment is needed for a time, followed by outpatient treatment which may include both medications and psychotherapy as needed.  There is hope, so please get help!
