had a patellar subluxation about 2 weeks ago - therapy for 4 weeks 2x a week. knee bend at 115 deg. can i start walking without a crutch?

Ask your PT: Generally it takes 6-8 weeks to fully recover from a patellar subluxation. Often it can take up to 20 physical therapy visits within 12 weeks to fully recover.  You should definitely not participate in strenuous activity until you can fully straighten and bend your leg.  I suggest you consult with your physical therapist and your treating doctor.

i had x-rays for chronic lower back pain. report says moderate right facet hypertrophy is present at l5-s1. mild narrowing of the l5-s1 disc is noted. i also had x-rays of my knee which said lateral patellar subluxation. how can they help me?

Orthopedic surgeon: Your patella(kneecap) slides out of place but doesn't dislocate. Nevertheless this indicates some degree of instability which I feel should be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon who will advise you about treatment options. You have some osteoarthritis of your spine and some mild degenerative disc disease which may cause some back issues. These spinal findings are rather common.

Depends on Treatment: Recovery varies widely based on the severity of the injury, associated injuries, and type of treatment. Non-operative treatment for an initial subluxation may only require 2-6 weeks. Operative treatment for more unstable or recurrent subluxations or those with associated injuries my require 4-6 months for recovery.

I don't know what-: -shifting to the left means, but patellar subluxation is due to mal-alignment either muscular, boney or both. You did not tell us what surgery you had. A little more in the way of specifics will help you get an answer.

Quadriceps exercises: This can be  helped  with quadriceps exercises. Sometimes surgery can be us  but it would better  to see physical therapy and begina vigorous exercise  program.

hi, i just had an mri done of my lt knee,and the results are as follow. patella alta with subluxation,joint effusion,and cartrilage loss over central ?

See below: Patella alta means your knee cap is riding somewhat higher than normal; similarly subluxation refers to an abnormal position between the two bones that make up a joint; these conditions can lead to cartilage loss on the undersurface of the knee cap known as chondromalacia.
