When Knee cap, ie,: the patella, which Normally slides up and down with motion of the knee, Also moves towards the outer side of the knee, causing pain in the knee. It usually comes back to its original position. Its generally treated with pain meds + therapy to strengthen the inner muscles of the thigh, to try to keep it on the inner side. Surgery is usually necessary. Discuss with your Orthopod.
