Not likely: Hypoglycemia (blood glucose less than 50, a typically less than 40) can be associated with seizures, but I have never heard of fluctuations within the normal range causing it.

Blood sugars: I wouldn't worry due to one reading.  Morning blood sugars can sometime be higher if you had a late meal and it was carb rich.

See below: Fasting blood sugar normally is between 70-90 mg. Any reading of 100 or over is considered abnormal. After eating blood sugar levels will typically go up above 100mg but rarely go up higher than 150-160mg. If it is going up above 180mg, it is abnormal and you may be heading for diabetes.Fasting blood sugars between 100 to 125 mg are borderline high, called prediabetes, require attention.

Targets vary: Gestational diabetes patients are often instructed to check their finger stick blood glucose 4 times a day (fasting and after meals).  Fasting in the am, most doctors i know try to have their patients between 70-90/95. One hour after eating, some doctors will try to keep you below 140, others strive for under 130. If you check 2 hours after eating the value should be under 120.

Because your sugar: Goes up when you eat. This is the first defect noted in overweight people developing type 2 diabetes. You need diet, exercise and weight loss, a visit to your doctor, education, monitoring and almost certainly whatever medication your doctor thinks is appropriate.

Normal fasting: 65-105 when drawn out of a vein while fasting. Various authorities have different "normal" levels. There are, however, no exact cut-offs, it's all a continuium. Finger sticks are not accurate enough for diagnosis. Two hour post meal should be less than 130-140, and any glucose &gt;200 at any time suggests diabetes. An a1c &gt;6% is also suggestive and needs further evaluation. See diabetes.Org for info.

Nope: I assume you're talking about the a1c reading. Non-diabetic readings are between 4.0-6.0, so you should be good. The a1c is an index number that averages out the previous 100 days of blood sugars into 1 number that gives you an idea of what glucose levels have been. This is pretty much diagnostic that you are not diabetic. Continue a prudent, low-carb diet & active lifestyle to maintain that, tho!

Unclear question: Did you have a glucose tolerance test and only the fasting glucose was high?  How high was it? Fasting plasma glucose is 100-125 it is pre-diabetes and 126 or higher, if noted on two occasions is diagnostic of diabetes.
