What does it mean if your plasma glucose levels are only high on a fasting blood test?

Unclear question: Did you have a glucose tolerance test and only the fasting glucose was high? How high was it? Fasting plasma glucose is 100-125 it is pre-diabetes and 126 or higher, if noted on two occasions is diagnostic of diabetes.
