Q: i have classic lupus symptoms, worse over time. i had a + ana test last year. it's normal this year. could i still have lupus? what else mimics lupus?

LUPUS: It is very important to find out what kind of lupus you have. Is it discoid or systemic? Your lab should be positive to lupus test not only ana. The worse one is when it affects your kidney. Please see your md for advice.

No concern: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your ferritin levels are not a cause for concern.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Having said that, your blood parameters are okay. ASMA may be a false positive, with increasing age auto-antibodies appear in a number of people without any disease. You doctor, who ordered the tests would be better to discuss it with.

Antinuclear: Antibodies test is "non-specific" and may be associated with a number of "auto-immune" diseases the most common being LUPUS and Rheumatoid Arthritis. In your case it may be associated with Crohn's diease

Having said that, a positive result for SS-A/Ro antibodies is consistent with connective tissue disease, including Sjogren syndrome, lupus erythematosus (LE), or rheumatoid arthritis.

i have hashimoto's disease. i also have sterile pyuria, and am positive for ana and crp readings. could these readings be caused by leukemia?

No: These are all signs and symptoms of autoimmune disease and have nothing to do with leukemia.

See details: Normal is negative although most rheumatologists regard 1:40 to also be negative. Borderline or low titer is 1:80 and 1:160 or higher is positive imo.

Ana, negative: ANA is usually negative , however there are few cases of sarcoidosis that had positive ANA profile . If ANA is positive, you must check with your doctor to make sure that you do not have lupus presenting with features of sarcoidosis.
