A member asked:

Is a blood asma reading of 1:80 a sign of an underlying condition? ana - negative, rbcw - 16.5%, mcv - 79.6fl, mch - 25.5pg, haematocrit - 0.392.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your blood parameters are okay. ASMA may be a false positive, with increasing age auto-antibodies appear in a number of people without any disease. You doctor, who ordered the tests would be better to discuss it with.
