Hmmm?: Pain to teeth and gums? Yes. Jaw swelling? Perhaps, but not usually. Have your pcp or ENT specialist treat your sinus infection and your dentist examine you to rule out dental problems. You many have either one or both a sinus infection and a dental problem at the same time. There’s no way to know over the internet and it’s best not to make assumptions. Better to be safe than sorry.

All viral upper respiratory infections (colds) can make yellow mucous even without bacteria.  The predominant feature is time and change.  If you have had a cold for longer than 7-10 days, or if suddenly you develop thicker mucous after seeming to get better, its possible.

See doctor: Can't tell what may be causing your chest pain even though I suspect that this may be from costochrondritis probably from coughing.  This is not a symptom from sinus infection or amoxicillin . If persistent or worsening, check with doctor .  May try NSAID to see if it helps.

What&#x27;s important is that you receive the proper antibiotic coverage and have your dentist evaluate for oral-antral communication. Discuss also with ENT specialist\GP.

Sinus allergy: As indicated earlier, you may have sinus allergies or Rhinitis, for which nasal spray like Flonase and antihistamine like Claritin or Zyrtec may be helpful. If no improvement in ~ 1 wk you should see your doctor fro evaluation. Good luck.

If you are developing increased facial pain, pressure associated with nasal congestion and discolored nasal drainage, then it likely is becoming a bacterial infection. You can try decongestants, Guaifenesin in addition to Flonase , but soon you may need an antibiotic. See your doctor.
