Heart rate: Normally heart rate responds to exercise or physiologic demand levels. Usually we don't see it go over 180-200 even with high levels of exercise. This level while tolerated by 'normals' may be dangerous in patients with heart disease or other forms of disease. In other words, one number doesn't fit all.

Maximum: Maximum predicted heart rate is calculated as 220-age. For a 22 year old the maximum heart rate is therefore 198 bpm. If your heart rate reaches 250-270 during exercise, it would be best to get evaluated.

: You have it right that there is increased heart rate in anxiety disorder and it is not safe and being frightened does not help because it makes it worse. The bases is the sympathetic system of fear/flight response is initiated and the increase heart rate is not only what happens but there is change in the structure of the heart and there is possibility of irregular heart beats that sometimes fatal

recently had copper serum levels checked. this labs ref range is 73-129 mcg/dl. my results came back at 134mcg. is this dangerous and could this cause things low iron level of 27 or very high heart rate? and should i avoid consuming any more copper?

: The slightly elevated copper level is an indication that you are getting  lleveormalenough copper in your diet....copper is found in many foods.  You do not need to adda copper supplement.  However, it's important to raise your iron to a normal level to make red blood cells and avoid anemia.  Discuss these issues with your doctor or with a nutritionist.

is it dangerous to get a right sided sharp headache for about 10mins out of no where after eating dinner and have a high heart rate after into the morning? what could be the cause? i also have a history of a benign brain tumor and auras. in my 20s?

: Wont know until the cause of the headache if found, Call your local team. Ask family about history of migraine. What meds are you taking. Go to drugs.com and look up side effects and interactions with cheese.

Possibly: If the rapid heart rate sufficiently raises your blood pressure a headache can be produced. Accelerated heart rates can be caused by other primary cardiac arrhythmias, overactive thyroid, anemia, caffeine, nicotine,alcohol,certain medications or anxiety. Your physician can evaluate you and order appropriate tests.

: No. Like any form of physical exertion it is expected to raise the heart rate during the event. The heart rate would then subside afterwards. Anyone saying it is permanent is perpetuating a myth. Such myths are spread by those who want to shame the practice.

No emergency: No. There is no reason to be scared and there is no reason to go to the er. If a fast heart rate is the only symptom you have then you can wait for a bit. Your school nurse or you family doctor may be able to help you figure this out.

See a doctor: First thing to figure out is whether ur rhythm is regular or irregular at those high heart rates. The fact that u feel dizzy is of some concern. U need a n ECG at a minimum, complete history and physical exam. In the meantime make an effort to avoid dehydration and see if the episodes of high heart rate stop .
