A member asked:

Can a high heart rate cause a headache?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: If the rapid heart rate sufficiently raises your blood pressure a headache can be produced. Accelerated heart rates can be caused by other primary cardiac arrhythmias, overactive thyroid, anemia, caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, certain medications or anxiety. Your physician can evaluate you and order appropriate tests.
