No: These "health shakes" are a mix of mostly placebos. For protein, your choices include everything from soy powder to a nice steak -- both are probably cheaper.

It depends: on which type of test is done.  Sometimes clindamycin will cause a positive(false), but the secondary testing clears that up.  The hep C can slow breakdown of all sorts of chemicals

No: However, some "herbal" remedies aren't what they're labeled to be. It's caveat emptor. One of the very common situations in alcohol recovery is a specimen that sits too long before it's checked -- it'll give a false positive for ethyl glucuronide. Might this have happened?

Not certain: All positive drug screens need a confirmatory test and unexplained results can be discussed with the pathologist who supervises the lab.

urinalysis showed leu 125 & nit positive. 5 hours later started my period after test. can that cause false positive in leu & nit? does it only affect protein levels? dr. didn't  mention protein? 1 symptom- vaginal irritation. no pee burn or frequency?

: Positive leukocytes (LEU) and nitrate (NIT) could mean urinary tract infection (UTI), but that's less likely without painful urinaation, urgency, or frequency. Vaginal "irritation" often is due to yeast infection, which could cause these test results if the urine specimen was contaminated with vaginal fluid (i.e. not a carefully "clean catch" midstream specimen).

No False Negative: Neither Turmeric nor Curcumin should interfere with the detection of blood in a urinalysis. A false negative means that blood is not detected even when it is present. Because of how the urinalysis is conducted, blood is detected both by chemical means on a dipstick and by microscopic means by looking for red blood cells in a microscope. Turmeric and Curcumin do not interfere with this.

Follow-up: This may be anything from the lifelong non-disease "thin gbm" to a smoldering kidney or bladder cancer. Your physician is extremely good at figuring out how to get to the bottom of this.
