What causes a false positive on an etg screening test? i have a weekly urinalysis that tested positive for alcohol this week but i did not drink, use any otc medicine, or mouthwash.

Not certain: All positive drug screens need a confirmatory test and unexplained results can be discussed with the pathologist who supervises the lab.

Here are some ...: Don't be panic or frustrated. All lab tests are not 100% but with few false positive or even negative, probably resulting from imperfect re-calibration of machine or minor human error. However, society watches closely for potential personal tempering Nonetheless, be honest with the system & timely retest it for confirmation. Of course, at times, there's need to review all drugs & what you've eat.
