A member asked:

Can elderberry trigger a false positive on a ua? i am in recovery for alcohol and submit to regular drug/alcohol screening

No: However, some "herbal" remedies aren't what they're labeled to be. It's caveat emptor. One of the very common situations in alcohol recovery is a specimen that sits too long before it's checked -- it'll give a false positive for ethyl glucuronide. Might this have happened?
