i took a amoxicillin pill and i feel like its stuck in my throat, so i went to the doctor and they checked and said everything was fine, yet its 2 days and i feel pain and as if its stuck and when i burp i taste the pill, what should i do?

: You could have a diverticulum in the lower portion of your throat that the pill was lodged in. However if you had such a pouch I'd expect symptoms like regurgitating food particles on and off through the years. If symptoms continue have a thorough throat examination by an otolaryngologist (ENT).

i took a magnesium capsule and 5 min later i burped a white smoke cloud!!! is this dangerous? why did it happen? just pill insides?

Esophageal ulcer: Certain pills can cause ulcers in the esophagus if they get stuck.  Drink plenty of water with pills.  It might help to take antacids or an over-the-counter GERD medicine like omeprazole or famotidine.  It should heal in a week or so.  If you can’t eat or are vomiting you need to go to your doctor or the ER.

i getting excessive burps (full day before & after meals) in spite of taking over counter pills like tums (calcium carbonate) and disflatyl.yawning also.anything serious?

Too much burping?: Involuntary belching after a meal is normal, caused by release of swallowed gas after distension of the stomach with food. Magenblase syndrome is postprandial epigastric fullness ; bloating, relieved by belching.Aerophagia (accumulation of gas due to air swallowing) is common with anxiety, hypersalivation from gum chewing, smoking, drinking, oral irritation. In some, belching can become habitual.

Many possibilities: That symptom is very common and could be associated with many things. It could be related an enlarged thyroid gland or other mass, but quite unlikely. It can be related to acid reflux(gerd) and  laryngopharyngeal reflux(lpr). Some people require many months of once or twice daily reflux meds to help. Another issue can be muscle tension dysphonia, so see an ent/laryngologist.

took advil (ibuprofen) wout water. felt stuck right away. burping/pain in chest now when swallowing 8 hours later. pill esophagitis? how long to heal? when should i consult dr? no breathing problems etc?

Swallowing pills: Advil (ibuprofen) and other otc meds are designed to be swallowed with liquid, and dissolved in the stomach and small intestine.  Taking them without water in a high acid environment, ie your esophagus can cause irritation and possbly ulcerations.  I would take 2 TBS of liquid anti acid  for immediate relief, to help heal the area in your esophagus.  Talk to your health care provider for further evaluation.

hi, when i have like a burp my chest kind of hurts and it hurts when i swallow a pill it did today. and i have a slight cough and runny nose? what could it be? could it be heartburn? any meds i can take for it? should i drink hot liquids?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor. You may have gastric acid reflux. If you are overweight, losing weight is imperative.

GERD?: This could be related to gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd). If this is a chronic problem, recommend assessment by your physician.
