When cholesterol and particle number disagree cvd risk tracks with ldl-p, not ldl-c. Ldl goals vary depending on risk. If your doctor feels you are high risk ldl-p goal is less than 1000 nmol/l.

Cholesterol: Hdl levels &gt;60mg/dl are good, 36-59 acceptable and 190 is very high.  The vldl normally ranges between 5 - 40 mg/dl. But to understand this you must have triglyceride levels, total cholesterol and a full detailed medical history and exam.

Too High: Your LDLshould be lower than or equal to your HDL and needs to be corrected by medications since it is genetically programmed 98%of the time and is only affected by diet about 2% If you have your Dr treat  this you will have a much lower chance of getting HYpertension Heart attack stroke and kidney failure 25-40 years and will live 25-30 years longer by avoiding these conditions, prevention is key

Laboratory tests: Are only meaningful when interpreted in context of the rest of the patient.  Isolated results are frequently meaningless.  A lot depends on your personal and family history and physical examination.  Ask your doctor to interpret these results for you and make specific recommendations.

Probably: Hi. Maybe/probably, but how odd you don't state your age! Heterozygous FH is a bad actor. HTF old are you? Genes + age (duration) = phenotype  (YES, I know genes + environment = phenotype, but I'm making a point!). Many folks with LDL 190 do NOT have heterozygous FH. So don't panic. Take a statin in high dose (maybe with ezetimibe or colesevelam); you at least have ONE LDL receptor gene.
