Something is wrong.: Please ask your pcp(primary care physician) to look for sinusitis.
Many other things can cause anisomia(loss of taste and smell) but look for common things first.

Several reasons: It means that your sense of smell (olfaction) is not working, and if absolutely no sense of taste then the gustatory taste areas are not functioning.  When you lose smell, you frequently can only taste very minimally, simple things might taste odd to you.  This is common with head injury to frontal areas, but could happen with infections, and for taste vitamin deficiencies - see neurologist.

i lost my smell and taste due to covid about a week ago, today if i try to smell something i can feel some smell but if i try for second time i can't feel the smell. does that means i'm getting back the smell or it doesn't mean anything?

No, it does not: However, anyone taking marijuana with depersonalization or deralization should cease and desist,  sine thc worsens such symptoms as well as social anxiety symptoms. Please consider stopping pot for your mental health. Best wishes.

Possibly: It is not a for sure thing that you would have an infection but those symptoms common for an infection that is draining such as an abcess.  You may want to have a dentist take a look for you.

: It is unlikely that you suffered brain damage from the infection. The loss of smell and taste is mostly due to effect on the infection on  olfactory receptors in the nose. Regular aerobic exercise will improve your health, including brain health!
Take Covid-19 vaccine.

: Loss of Taste and Smell are fairly common in Covid-19 infection, even if the senses come back after a day or two. One is probably recovering but for the sake of  inadvertently exposing others to it, a Covid test, at this time, is appropriate. CDC/ WHO guidelines should still be followed.

brush my teeth and my tounge for 2-3 minutes but when i lick the back of my wrists a few hours later my spit smells sour. does this mean my breath stinks? sometimes my spit doesnt smell like anything. sometimes it does?

: Cup your hands over your mouth and breath into them. Quickly move cupped hands to nose and breath in. No bad smell likely no bad breath assuming your ability to smell is intact.  Put on mask and the breath out to someone who is not wearing a mask. No bad smell. Repeat with your mask off. No bad smell by smeller (assuming their smeller is working) no bad breath.
