: I am not sure why the blood test was done, meaning inadequate information, however it is best not to treat laboratory value if you are well and no inflammatory marker of significance. Fibrinogen is a clotting factor not a disease protein why do you want to treat isolated elevated fibrinogen? Do you have abnormal menstrual flow may be what you could look at as a possible explanation.

Injury, infection & : Your body can get inflamed due to injury, infection and/or allergies. Inflammatory markers tell us there's a needle in the haystack but they don't tell us where. So it's our job to question you regarding the possible causes. If you can't think of any, then we worry about an increase risk of heart disease. But since you're young, ask your doc why s/he ordered them in first place. Could be just gum.

Not always: Elevated. D dimer has many reasons. Severe. Sepsis.   Infections.  Malignancy.   Thromboembolic disease.   So. If there is severe inflammation it can raise it .  Negative. D. Dimer is used to. Rule out thromboembolic disease.  Being positive  could have any nonspecific reason.

Depends: It depends on how much of the colon is involved. If there is an isolated diverticulum that is inflamed, it may not affect serum markers of inflammation. If the whole sigmoid colon is affected it would certainly increase inflammation markers. Not all markers are affected equally. The commonly used markers are Sed rate, C-reactive protein, pro-calcitonin and serum protein electrophoresis.

Insufficient info: First I wish you relief, but given the above, you need to start with your own doctor, which you probably had, as you have some lab results, or go to the ER to rule out some serious conditions as venous thrombosis, ischemia or any vascular problem, then look for the other conditions that cause this picture, physical exam and thorough history are needed, good luck

Yes/no: HLA-B27 is a genetic test and the result should be yes or no.  You are correct about inflammatory mediators, such as sed rate or C-reactive protein which are measured as a quantity and would be high with active inflammation.
