IVaries: Your baby will move more at certain times of the day and often times more after a meal.  The baby will sleep similar to a newborn as well.  In general what i tell my patients is that the hour after they eat you should feel 6-10 distinct movements.  If you don't, you may want to call your provider and let them know you have decreased fetal movement.

Right away, but...: By the time an embryo gets called a fetus (10 weeks pregnant) he or she can move already. Movements can be seen on ultrasound. A pregnant woman may start feeling tiny flutters when the baby fetus grows older and bigger such that baby movements can be felt in the fifth month of pregnancy. Some women have more bodily awareness or perception and feel baby movements a couple weeks sooner than average.

Some do, some don't: Fetus' have a sleep period in utero just like us and sometimes movement is not detected. If the mother notes an absence or diminished movement by the fetus over time her OB MD will do additional testing to check on the baby with a non stress test.(NST)

hello i'd like to know is it possible to feel the fetus move at 10week till 12weeks then you feel nothing at 13weeks?

Gas movement: I suppose what you think was fetal movement is more wishful thinking supported by gas moving in your  gut. There is actually more fetal waters than baby at that point. You would not be able to feel their cushioned activity.First time mom's don't consistently feel fetal movement before 20 wks, Sixteen with the second kid.

is it a sign of early labor that your fetus will move/kick for 2 minutes straight when it normally doesn't move that often?

No: This is more likely simply a positional change of the baby so that you are feeling the usual movements more intensely.  If anything, the baby will move a little less when labor is beginning.

i am 18 weeks. fetus has not stopped excessively moving for over a week. it seems to get worse when i move positions. can this result in stillbirth?

Baby moving...: After 17 weeks of pregnancy it is usually when you become aware of your baby moving inside of you. They can move a lot and it is not a sign of miscarriage or stillbirth. The opposite is true. Once you start feeling the baby moving, if it stops moving that is a dangerous sign. If you experience vaginal bleeding, severe pain, then those are also red flags and you should see OB.

my doctor checked me and i'm 2cm but can be stretched to 3 cm and my doctor moved my fetus head to get him to reacted but only slight reaction could they be something wrong . my baby moves only in the early mornings and late at night?

See below: Assuming you're at term, babies at term develop diurnal sleep-wake cycles that resemble us.  Ask your doctor if he/she has any concerns about fetal activity.

Normal: It is normal for the fetus to have hiccups and when that happens you will feel a rhythmic movement exactly like when you have hiccups.

Yes: the fetus moves quite a bit when in utero..this is normal and healthy but you should have regular prenatal checks to be sure

Fetal cord: With all the kicking and acrobatics a baby does during pregnancy, you might wonder why cord accidents aren't more common. The answer is that a normal umbilical cord is thickly coated in a substance called wharton's jelly. This makes the cord very slippery and protects against the cord being compressed by the normal movements of the baby. You should discuss with your OB to relieve your anxiety.
